Compassion. Care. Experience.
Yanina is a bilingual trauma therapist with a decade of experience assisting clients in Pennsylvania to overcome trauma. Over the past seven years, she has specialized in working as a mental health clinician. At the same time, she has gained valuable insights into the power of evidence-based treatments to help her clients on their journey to inner healing. She firmly believes that evidence-based treatment plans are the best approach to meet the unique needs of every individual. These treatments offer the capacity to treat mental, emotional, and physical health. As an EMDRIA Certified Clinician, Yanina also provided EMDR therapy for clients dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic event.
Therapy sessions with Yanina are focused exclusively on the individual needs, as she understands that trauma affects every person in entirely different ways. There is no one-size-fits-all approach to trauma-focused therapy, and each client comes with their own unique set of strengths, challenges, goals, and needs. She always includes empathy, a positive attitude, and warm-heartedness in her sessions, striving to establish trust and a sense of security to promote meaningful discussions. Therapy can be a vulnerable experience for clients, especially those dealing with trauma. By creating a safe space free of judgment, she encourages clients to go through the entire emotional experience, ultimately using these breakthroughs to promote healing and progress.
Yanina is also a Registered Play Therapist-Supervisorâ„¢, and she offers Play Therapy to children, teens, and families. She truly believes that children communicate through play. The simple act of play can build confidence, fuel imagination, improve social skills, and offer the chance for personal expression. Children can genuinely experience healing through the power of play. They begin to explore and interact creatively with the world around them.
